This is the Finals assignment for my class "Intermediate 2D Animation".
The assignment was to create a 12 second animation with an original character, at least 2 shots and a special effect of some sort.
I went overboard!!!
I was having so much fun working on this final that I ended up with more than 30 seconds worth of animation. Plus I was tackling dialogue... WHICH WAS NOT REQUIRED!!!
Two friends of mine voiced these characters. Matter of fact, the one who played Cathryn (The Teen Girl) can be found here:

Time working on this: More than 22 hours
Made more than 6 months ago, so proportions and timing may be off. Did not finish entire scene so last several seconds are still sketchy!

Music is from Disney's Atlantis: The lost empire. Rights go to the composer of that movie
Best advice I can give is study the basics of Anatomy as well as perspective. Quick tip about limbs, the arms (if set on the side) usually go as long as to upper thighs; Legs can vary, usually they are the same length as the torso or a bit longer.
